Loong Wong was tried on the 13th November 1846, on a charge of Cutting with intent to main disable, or do some grievous bodily harm, and was found guilty, thereupon sentenced to be transported for life.

Nr. 102 of 8th July last repeating that you had granted the conditional pardon. Compiled in this Harbour Jail in India, pardon is clearly within the compass of the regulation. Conditional on their not contravening the conditions.
Returning to Hong Kong, it commends the course you have taken with regard to their release as not absolute prisoners.
